Fruit Picking
August 2011:- Fruit Pickers wanted!
The blueberry picking season has just started. There are a limited number of positions available now. We have been notified by the farmers that most farms will begin picking early to mid September. This is dependent on weather conditions.
We have employment application forms from the farmers. The sooner you arrive at Aussitel the sooner you can receive your forms and apply for fruit picking work.
Jobs will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. So, if you want to secure your fruit picking work please do not delay.
Aussitel Backpackers offers a cheap ‘fruit picker rate’ for guests that are staying with us and picking fruit.
For those people without transport, we can find you a lift with other guests that drive. Alternatively, Aussitel Backpackers has cheap cars for rent.
Remember, we have work for accommodation positions available. This will help you save money while you wait for fruit picking work.

- Your job will be to follow our established social program, join in and encourage the rest of the guests to come and play too!

- How about learning to surf, Whitewater rafting, 4WDriving, canoeing, snorkeling???
- Then in the evenings you organise a big BBQ and take everyone off to the pub for the night, or how about out to the nightclub, or ten pin bowling????

We need a bright, bubbly, well organised person
to help us look after our guests. You do basic office tasks of check-in/check-out, take telephone calls, book activities, book other hostels, clean
when required, and any other jobs that may need to be done to make the
hostel run smoothly.
It's great fun and well rewarded.

- work visa
- be available for at least 3 months
