There are fruit picking jobs in and around Coffs Harbour that will count towards your 88 day work requirement.

The Coffs Harbour area has fruit picking jobs available all year round. Some of the produce grown includes blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cucumbers, zucchinis, macadamia nuts, bananas and avocados.

Blueberries are the predominant fruit picked by backpackers staying with us. The main blueberry picking season goes from August to March. Farmers usually let us know that they are actively looking for workers mid to late August and we have all the employment application forms right here. We often have local farmers phoning us looking for workers.

We offer a great weekly rate for guests that are staying with us and picking fruit, only booking directly with us!

Work for Accommodation

Fancy helping out around the hostel in return for free accommodation?

At Aussitel Backpackers we have a number of Work for Accommodation positions. These jobs come up frequently and are given to suitable guests that have expressed an interest and are already staying with us.

If we have vacancies and no suitable candidate, we may give work for accommodation positions to people that are not already staying with us. Feel free to call in or phone us and see if there’s anything available.
